Donation Site for Ukrainian Refugees in the Republic of Moldova
In 2022, following the situation in Russia and Ukraine, many refugees fled from Ukraine to neighboring Moldova. Hearing that this was straining the economy of Moldova, known as the poorest country in Europe, REM's CEO Wada obtained permission from the Embassy of Moldova and built a dedicated donation site in a single day. The donations now exceed JPY 250 million, and the full amount has been donated to the Embassy of Moldova and passed on to Moldova through the embassy.
